About Our Service

Services > Charities and Social Enterprises Group

The Charities and Social Enterprises Group comprises specialist lawyers from across the firm who have developed a particular expertise in dealing with charitable and socially based enterprises.

We understand the law and maintain close working relationships with the Charity Commission, regulators and key government departments. As a result, our clients do not pay for advisors to spend time acquainting themselves with the relevant areas of the law.

We currently act for over 100 charities and not for profit organisations - all benefit from having their matters handled by experienced advisors who blend a commercial outlook with a pragmatic approach to solving client needs. Our lawyers strive to work closely with our clients at all times and pride themselves on their accessibility and approachability.

Many of our lawyers sit on the boards of large regional charities or have been retained on the management committees of local sports or arts organisations.

We have an acute awareness of the financial and legal constraints under which our charitiy and social enterpise clients operate as well as the competition faced by each of them in the highly competitive 'not for profit' marketplace. We have invested heavily in our team and our clients are able to call upon a wide range of expertise which we tailor to meet the particular requirements of any piece of work. We are therefore able to offer extremely competitive fee levels without sacrificing the quality of either service or expertise.

With the Charities and Social Enterprises Group we provide services to a wide range of socially-based groups.
