Are local businesses maximising the opportunities to trade internationally and minimising the risk?

June 22, 2010

Commercial law firm Lupton Fawcett, which has offices in Leeds and Sheffield, is holding a free seminar at the Kroto Innovation Centre in Sheffield on Tuesday 29th June to provide local business owners and managers with advice on trading internationally.

The seminar is being held in association with Hawsons chartered accountants, Barclays Corporate, Chamber International, UK Trade & Industry and HMRC. It will run from 2.00pm to 4.00pm followed by a 90 minute Q&A session.

Adrian Hackett, corporate finance director at Lupton Fawcett, who will chair the seminar, commented: “Following the downturn in the UK economy, UK manufacturers are becoming increasingly reliant on international trade to maintain profitability and growth.

“This seminar will consider some of the risks and barriers to the growth of a company’s trade internationally and provide an outline of certain legal, accounting, and other practical steps that may be taken to mitigate these risks and barriers. We will also consider the support available from regional government and the availability of secure finance and credit insurance.”
