Events Manager Position in Leeds

Based in Leeds. Travel to our other offices will be required.


Lupton Fawcett is a well-established integrated corporate and commercial law firm with offices in Leeds, Sheffield and York and we are looking to appoint a strong, experienced Events Manager in our Business Development and Marketing (BD&M) Team. 

As an active BD&M team we organise a significant number of events; these vary from technical type seminars and round tables ranging in size from half a dozen to over two hundred people.  To entertaining events such as drinks receptions, sports / arena evenings, internal dinner dances etc.

The reality is that events frequently overlap so it is imperative you are able to “keep your eye on the ball” at all times to ensure all points are covered and attention to detail is maintained.

The main asset you will bring is a very high level of organisation and an ability to manage multiple projects at the same time.  You will also possess a natural flair for the creative side of events; and be able to shape event concepts to maximise their quality / impact and the results obtained from them.

In addition to the management and execution of the events themselves; the role necessitates the promotion of events and the management of follow-up.  The promotion will involve actively managing related data / CRM System, Social Media, Web content, PR etc.  The follow-up management will involve directly engaging with fee earners in the firm to provide the information and focus they require to complete successful follow-up.

As you will spend much time as the initial “face of the firm”; you must be comfortable with meeting and greeting clients and contacts from cold and possess strong “people” and personal communication skills.

The BD&M Team is a dynamic one; central to the firm and its success.  You will be given every opportunity to put your ideas into action to make a difference to the BD and marketing activities we undertake.

This role will be based in Leeds but will necessitate working from the other two offices (York & Sheffield) as and when required.  As events will frequently occur out of normal working hours the role demands flexibility to cover early starts or late finishes to the working day.
