Duncan's nomination came from a client who was extremely grateful for the work Duncan had done. "Duncan's kindness, support, tenacity and total professionalism kept my family strong during a horrendously difficult time" and it was this praise for his help and guidance that led his client to nominate Duncan for this award (and without Duncan's knowledge).

Duncan Milwain commented: "I was flattered to be nominated and, if honest, I had not anticipated being shortlisted. We are often required to advise clients who are in difficult circumstances and constantly strive to be professional, pragmatic and empathetic when dealing with them. The nomination recognises the team's striving to achieve this."
