Harrogate printing companies merge

Two of the longest established and successful printing companies in the region, Harrogate Printing and Platinum Print have merged.

The combined business will be based at Platinum Print’s existing premises on Hookstone Park, which have been extended to 24,000 sq ft to accommodate the additional printing, finishing and collating machinery.

All the employees have been retained resulting in more than 50 highly skilled staff operating from the premises.

David Wyvill of Platinum Print said:  "Our companies have excellent reputations for providing quality print and, by bringing together over 58 years of experience, we will now have a much broader range of products to offer our existing and future clients.

Colin Wilding of Harrogate Printing added:  "The consolidation of all our equipment, staff and skills will take the company into the future as one of the foremost providers of quality print in the North of England.  It is a very positive and exciting move.”

"In addition to traditional litho and digital print, we can offer large format print, signage and Mailing services.”

Platinum Print was advised by Giles Clegg , director in Corporate Finance at Lupton Fawcett and accountants, Lithgow Perkins.  Harrogate Printing's advisors were Newtons Solicitors and accountants, Holeys.
