Property quiz raises money for charity

June 11, 2010

A charity quiz organised by members of the Property Services Division at commercial law firm Lupton Fawcett has raised £475 for the charity Sue Ryder Care.

Fifteen teams representing most of the leading property agents and intermediaries in the city took part in the quiz, which Lupton Fawcett aims to make an annual event.

Sanderson Weatherall took the honours with team members all receiving the Leeds edition of Monopoly – the world’s best-known property game – as their prize

David Whitaker, director in Lupton Fawcett’s Property Services Division, said: “It was great to receive so much support from our fellow property professionals – there were over 100 people at the event, not only enjoying themselves but raising money for a worthy cause at the same time.”

Sharon Link, area fundraising manager for Sue Ryder Care based at Wheatfields Hospice, added: “Sue Ryder Care Wheatfields Hospice in Headingley will cost £2.5 million to run this year. We rely on companies like Lupton Fawcett to help us raise the funds needed to provide our services free of charge to patients and their families in Leeds. The company has supported Sue Ryder Care for some time now and we really appreciate it.”
