According to the Bloomberg Billionaire Index, Bezos is the world’s wealthiest man with a fortune valued at $137bn, a mere $45bn wealthier than Microsoft founder, Bill Gates.

Unusually they have indicated that they see a wonderful future together in many aspects of their lives but no longer as husband and wife.
Perhaps the silver lining of this particular cloud is that they appear to be separating on amicable terms, which is to be encouraged in all cases wherever possible.
Steps are now being taken in the UK to consider the introduction of no fault divorces, a step which is long overdue. At the current time, where spouses have not separated for at least two years, one has to divorce the other on the grounds of adultery or unreasonable behaviour. Requiring such a course of action is much less likely to generate an amicable separation and must be contrary to their overall interests’
