Lupton Fawcett LLP is a well-established law firm with offices in Sheffield, Leeds and York.
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Construction Lawyer to join its busy Commercial Property department working with clients on a local, regional and national basis.
The successful candidate will be tasked with managing a full and varied caseload to cover the full remit of construction matters, whilst being excited at having the opportunity to build up the Construction division within the Firm. The role will be largely non-contentious so a strong working knowledge of non-contentious work is essential. Although it will include acting on behalf of a variety of clients ranging from high net-worth to developers, property investors, banks and occupiers through to contractors, sub-contractors and consultants. Our work involves complex, high profile developments with a particular sector of specialist high-end developers.
The ideal candidate should preferably have proven experience of working for developers, investors, lenders, contractors and consultants preferably in the following sectors, housing, retail, commercial education, renewable and conventional energy, real estate and retirement homes.
Applicants must have excellent technical ability and experience of handling a broad range of work, preferably having a minimum of 4-5 years PQE (or having additional experience gained from working as a paralegal / during their training contract). The role will involve managing a busy caseload and participating in the Firm’s marketing activities.
As a senior member of the team you will be expected to manage and run deals therefore you should have a good track record of success including business development.
