Lupton Fawcett LLP is a well-established integrated corporate and commercial law firm with offices in Leeds, Sheffield and York. This is a really exciting time to join the Firm as it goes from strength to strength.
Being an 8 year+ qualified solicitor should have given you exposure and hands on experience of handling a busy IP and commercial caseload.
The role will involve advising and representing businesses, not for profit organisations and individuals on the whole range of contentious and non-contentious intellectual property and commercial law matters. The general responsibilities will consist of advising upon, negotiating and drafting commercial agreements, terms and conditions of trading, data protection and GDPR matters, and on general compliance by businesses with applicable regulatory requirements. The role will also involve advising on a non-contentious basis in relation to the creation, maintenance and protection of intellectual property rights including copyright, trademarks, registered designs, design rights and database rights. The role will be varied, and therefore you should be able to demonstrate a committed and commercial approach to your work.
You should have the confidence and ability to communicate clearly and concisely at all levels, both in writing and verbally as you will be in regular contact with clients and colleagues within the department.
The successful candidate should be ambitious, enthusiastic and team-focused and in return we offer an excellent opportunity to join an expanding and successful team, where you can shape your own future.
Working closely with the Head of the Department we would look to you growing and developing the team to ensure that clients receive the best service possible. You will be responsible for furthering the development of less experienced colleagues. Also you will work closely with members across the Firm in all offices to develop a network of relationships that will add to the success of Lupton Fawcett.
Salary is commensurate with experience and applications should be made in writing through the company website, giving a brief summary of what you can bring to the role and the firm and attach an up to date cv.
Lupton Fawcett is an equal opportunities employer and we welcome applications from every sector of the community. If the role is of interest to you, please submit your CV and covering letter through the company website (http://www.luptonfawcett.com/careers/) or apply directly to firstname.lastname@example.org where your application will be dealt with in the strictest of confidence.
