This is a part-time role potentially 2.5 days a week (based on 09.00 – 17:00 hours, with one hour for lunch) or five mornings (09:00 – 12:30 hours) although we can be flexible.
The department is relaxed and informal, but extremely professional, therefore you will need to have the ability to prioritise your workload and be able to meet deadlines, although you should have an excellent eye for detail and a concern for quality.
Duties include providing secretarial support such as filing, scanning, photocopying and binding. You will also be required to take detailed telephone messages, assist in file opening and closing, liaising with clients to give a high quality service and arranging appointments on behalf of directors and clients.
You will be required to produce correspondence through audio and copy typing with a high degree of speed therefore accuracy is essential. You will have good organisational and communication skills, whilst being comfortable liaising at all levels verbally and in writing. The workload will be varied and you will be required to handle large volumes of work, the ability to work as a team player and to use your initiative will help you in this role.
Ideally candidates will already have experience working in a secretarial role within a law firm preferably with experience of working in the Private Client sector although this is not essential. Candidates will need a minimum C grade at GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
Remuneration is commensurate based on experience.
