Yorkshire law firm Lupton Fawcett is welcoming newly qualified solicitor Emma Rennison to its Family Law team, underlining its commitment to nurturing new talent.

Emma joined Lupton Fawcett with an undergraduate degree in law. While gaining experience across all legal disciplines, she completed a Legal Practice Course with a combined LLM Masters Degree in Professional Legal Practice at the University of Law in Leeds, graduating with distinction in August 2019. Emma has now qualified into the Family Law department at Lupton Fawcett.

As a member of the Family Law team, she advises on a wide range of family matters from representation in divorce proceedings and financial disputes to representing clients in a broad spectrum of matters relating to children. She also advises in cohabitation disputes including Trust of Land claims and domestic abuse work including obtaining protective injunctions.

Chris Burns, Head of Family Law at Lupton Fawcett, said: “Congratulations to Emma on this fantastic achievement. She has already gained considerable experience while training with the firm and we are delighted that she has chosen to specialise in family law. Young talent is the lifeblood of our business, which is why we are so committed to bringing through the next generation of talent.”

Lupton Fawcett’s reputation for providing excellent legal advice is showcased in the recently published Chambers UK 2022 guide in which the firm is ranked in four practice areas, including Family Law, with nine of its lawyers receiving individual rankings.
