After leaving school, Annabel spent three years working as a Casino Croupier before going on to study law at Sheffield Hallam University. In 2014, as part of her degree, Annabel gained a place on the Law in Practice International module where she worked at a law firm in Chicago, USA, for 6 weeks working on innocence project cases. In 2015 she graduated from Sheffield Hallam University with a First Class Honours Degree in Law and also received the Taylor and Emmett award for outstanding student on the Property Law Module.
Annabel went on to study for her Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice at the University of Sheffield and obtained a Distinction in June 2016.
Annabel joined Lupton Fawcett LLP’s Sheffield office in September 2016 as a paralegal in the firm’s Business Recovery and Insolvency Department. Annabel worked on a wide variety of matters providing commercial and practical advice to clients on all aspects of personal and corporate insolvency law, including both contentious and non-contentious insolvency matters.
Annabel became a Trainee Solicitor in September 2018 and qualified in September 2020.
Outside of work, Annabel enjoys horse riding, Ballroom and Latin dancing, boxing and playing squash. If the weather’s nice, you’ll often find her enjoying a long walk in the Peak District with her husband and Olly the Greek rescue dog.
