Julie qualified as a solicitor in 1990 and joined Lupton Fawcett in 2016 after, 16 years with Irwin Mitchell in Leeds.
Julie has experience in most areas of commercial property work including acquisitions and disposals, including development and site assembly, fam land, property funding and secured lending, from single properties through to portfolio acquisitions, but with a bias towards landlord and tenant and property management. Julie has acted for landlords including an international estate agency firm in respect of its property holdings, a property investment fund in respect of its national portfolio, individual and corporate landlords in respect of their investments including industrial estates, offices and retail premises and tenants from national high street retailers to local shops and offices, corporate occupiers in the industrial and office industries, and leisure operators.
Julie also leads the ecclesiastical, charity and education property teams, which provides advice to Diocesan Boards of Finance in respect of their property holdings (including glebe, parsonage and beneficial land) and also parochial church councils, property advice to schools and charities and support to the charity and education team on wider transactions such as charity incorporations and academy conversions.

Outside work, Julie enjoys spending time with family and friends and spending time outdoors, walking and gardening along with most sporting activities, in particular, running and squash.
