Martin is a Partner in the Corporate Finance Department and is an active and well known member of the North Yorkshire business community. Martin acts for a wide range of corporate clients and their directors, shareholders and senior employees. He has particular experience of dealing with large owner managed companies and well established second and third generation family businesses.
Martin is a regular speaker at corporate law seminars, which are widely attended by businesses and professional firms from across the Yorkshire region. He has written numerous articles and presented several specialist workshops on the practical implications for businesses of the Companies Act 2006, business sale & succession and other corporate law issues.
Martin is also a Director of York Professionals and the Yorkshire Law Society.
Martin is married to Anna and lives in York. When not in the office or looking after his three young daughters, Martin enjoys watching rugby union and cricket and is an avid reader of history with a keen interest in politics. He is also partial to a pint of ‘proper beer’ and was a founder, and remains an organiser, of the York Charity Beer Festival.
