We seek an experienced Regulatory & Corporate Defence Solicitor to join our RCD Department in York.

The successful candidate must have excellent technical ability and experience of dealing with a broad range of work. We anticipate you will have circa 3-5 years PQE or above.

The successful candidate will provide a high quality legal service to a wide range of corporate and individual clients.

Your duties will include supporting, advising and representing businesses, their senior people and individuals on a whole range of regulatory and corporate defence matters, defending companies and their key people facing investigation and prosecution for alleged breaches of criminal regulatory offences, protecting businesses and their key personnel against the potential negative consequences of an investigation or prosecution and carefully managing the defence of an investigation or prosecution in order to obtain the best possible outcome for clients.

Also, including but not restricted to other criminal matters: complex fraud, murder, serious sexual offences, assaults and road traffic offences, ICO investigations and health and safety/industrial accidents.

We would expect you to be able to approach cases in a highly commercial way which always puts business continuity at the heart of your advice and representation. A good knowledge of business and finance would also be expected. Overall you should be motivated, flexible, enthusiastic and be keen to assist with complex legal and regulatory issues.
