Disputes - Veterinary practice - franchise dissolution
Paul Sykes advised following the acrimonious dissolution of a veterinary practice covering several branches. The parties had previously agreed settlement terms themselves through their franchise. However, payment to the client under the agreement was stopped, and damages were claimed against the client amongst allegations of misrepresentation and a defective valuation. Following extensive work under the Civil Procedure Rules “pre action protocols” (including the threat of an injunction for specific performance against the other side) the client received an advantageous settlement.
