Introduction to Employment Law Training Day Two - York, 25th April
When & Where?
The Day Two course builds on and enhances the knowledge learned from the Day One training.
The course is being held at our York office and is designed to raise the level of basic knowledge about employment issues, to identify the pitfalls and to encourage a greater understanding of the function and purpose of the HR team.
It is interspersed with case studies, encouraging discussion and active participation.
To ensure delegates get the most out of the training, the courses are limited to 12 to 15 attendees.
Course materials are comprehensive and fully updated before each session.
Each course will consist of two trainers who are highly experienced employment solicitors and who regularly advise employers on all areas of employment law.
Partner Brian Harrington will guide you. His hands-on experience and practical approach to the law means that delegates leave with knowledge which can immediately be implemented in the workplace.
The course covers the following areas:
- Probationary periods
- Getting recruitment right
- Understanding the contract of employment
- Dealing with bullying and harassment at work
- Protected/without prejudice conversation
- Settlement Agreements and ACAS Mediation
- Handling redundancies
Case studies and break out groups are used throughout the day to enable the attendees to discuss and debate the relevant issues.
The cost of the full-day course is £200 + VAT per person, inclusive of a set of detailed notes, slide handouts, refreshments and lunch.
