Lupton Fawcett Names its Two Chosen Charities for 2013
Lupton Fawcett is delighted to announce the two charities that it will support in 2013, namely The Bambisanani Partnership and St George's Crypt.
Known as Bambisanani (which is Zulu for working hand in hand) this is the collaboration of two schools, St Mary'sCatholicHigh School, Menston and theMnyakanyaSchoolin Kwa Zulu Natal inSouth Africa. Using sport as the catalyst which started the partnership back in 2006, both schools learn about international understanding, education, health and leadership as well as raising much needed funds to help with education and health awareness in the Mnyakanya School.
St George's Crypt is a charity which our employees nominated to support. Based in Leeds, St Georges Crypt works with the homeless, the vulnerable and those suffering addiction.
Our aim is to play a positive role in helping these two charities deal with organisation challenges not just raising funds but also providing time and expertise through volunteering and in-kind support and help create solutions to the charities needs.
Head of Corporate Social Responsibility, Angela Gorton, Director, comments: "We are absolutely delighted to be able to support the fantastic work that these two charities provide to the local and international community. We are proud to be able to highlight their causes and the plight of those less fortunate. We often take for granted our health and our material possessions and it is only when we are forced to view the world through their eyes do we sit up and take notice. This year, we really hope to make a difference to them."
The firm will also support most of the national fundraising appeals such as Comic Relief, Children in Need and Sport Relief and will regularly host events throughout the year to raise awareness for its charities among its clients, professional contacts and friends.
