Investing in People Brings a Decade of Success
Leeds and Sheffield-based commercial law firm Lupton Fawcett LLP has been awarded a long service award for a decade dedicated to investing in people.
Investors in People is the national standard, which encourages businesses to invest in the training and development of people by linking it directly to the achievement of business goals.
In 2000, Lupton Fawcett was one of the first law firms in the region to be recognised as an Investors in People organisation.
Commenting on the ten-year award, Richard Marshall, Lupton Fawcett's managing director said: "We have been committed to investing in our people for many years but this Standard has certainly helped us to focus that investment more effectively on improving business performance. It has also inspired us to look at investment in people on a much broader basis with initiatives such as our work life balance and healthy heart programmes."
Carole Reid, chief executive of YHAL, the Investors in People Centre for Yorkshire and Humber said "This is a fantastic achievement for Lupton Fawcett LLP and we would like to congratulate the organisation and its people on their commitment to continuous improvement over the last ten years. By offering a flexible, practical and easy to use business improvement framework, Investors in People is designed to help organisations and their people enhance performance and meet goals, providing challenge and relevance over time."
