I am sure the race will be exciting as the cyclists face the challenge of our not insignificant climbs. I shall be particularly proud to see my nephew Mark Cavendish cross the finish line in our family home town of Harrogate, and I know for a fact he and the other UK riders are very excited about having the opportunity to perform here".
Gary Verity, Chief Executive of Welcome to Yorkshire, comments: "We are very pleased to have Lupton Fawcett on board as a corporate partner, their support will enable us to maximise the opportunities around Le Tour for Yorkshire and Yorkshire businesses on a national and international stage."
