Jonathan said:  "I am very excited to be taking office at a time when the firm is in such a strong position.

Although our numbers for 2017/8 have yet to be finalised, we will be announcing a record year. Importantly we saw strong performances in each of our three offices in the region.

We will be making a major investment during the coming year in our ICT infrastructure which will deliver state of the art technology for the benefit of our business and our clients. We are also refurbishing and expanding our Sheffield office to accommodate recent and further anticipated growth.

Lupton Fawcett is a business I am proud to lead. It has a great heritage and is a trusted advisor for many businesses and individuals.

My vision for the future of the firm is for continuing and sustainable profitability, being a great place to work and being justly famous for the skills of our people,  the range of our services and the quality of our advice.

Going forward we will continue to develop our mainstream practice areas such as Corporate Finance, Property, Employment and Dispute Resolution. We will also focus more than ever on our sectors and specialisms such as Innovation & Technology, Healthcare, Agriculture and Landed Estates, Ecclesiastical, Education Law and Family Businesses.

Within the business, I look forward to continuing the extensive recruitment of recent years, particularly at the junior level and to building our skills through great training and development, hands-on experience and a great working environment.

As the only major law firm with offices in Leeds, Sheffield and York we are uniquely well placed to serve our clients throughout the region. I look forward to working with all our people to build on the success of the previous management team."
