Landlord and Tenant training for Landlords of residential property and their Managing Agents

Overview

This informative and training session has been created to provide landlords and their managing agents with a solid understanding of the key aspects of landlord and tenant law that impact upon the management of residential property.

Module aims

This module aims to provide participants with:

  • the knowledge and understanding needed to deal with a range of issues including:
    • rent arrears recovery;
    • dealing with problem tenants;
    • ending a tenancy;
    • tenant’s belongings;
    • avoiding claims.

Learning outcomes

By the end of this module, participants will:

  • understand the key concepts relating to assured shorthold tenancies;
  • be able utilise their newly gained knowledge of landlord and tenant law to assist in the effective running of residential property;
  • understand and appreciate the risks associated with dealing with tenants and the steps that can be taken to minimise the risk of claims; and
  • understand the steps that need to be taken to effectively recover arrears and recover possession.

  • Has the tenant vacated?
  • Protection from Eviction Act 1977 and claims for damages for unlawful eviction.
  • Dealing with tenant’s belongings.

The Cost

Our standard charge is £200 plus VAT per delegate for a full day course,if it is being held at our premises or a venue close to our offices.  In addition, we do offer three for the price of two rates.

For ahalf daycourse, our fees are £125 plus VAT per delegate.

Should you require the course to be held in-house at your premises, then the fee would be £2,000 plus VAT for up to 12 attendees.  Should your premises be in London, then the fee would be £2500 plus VAT plus travel and hotel costs. 

For ahalf daycourse, our fee would be £1250 or £1500 for London plus travel costs.
