Glenn is an Employment Law Partner based at the Sheffield office. He is a highly-experienced solicitor (over 25 years) and advises numerous SMEs and large companies in the Sheffield City Region and beyond, having practised in this area throughout most of his career. He advises them on a full range of employment issues including large-scale redundancies and restructures, TUPE and discrimination issues, defending claims in the Employment Tribunal and Employment Appeal Tribunal and HR advice. He also advises employees, being mostly directors and senior executives.
Glenn has a deep understanding of employment law and he uses this in a practical and pragmatic way to achieve the goals and aims of his clients in a cost-effective manner. As well as being a robust and tenacious litigator in both the Tribunals and courts, Glenn is also a skilled negotiator which he uses effectively to achieve excellent results for his clients.
His clients are from a range of different sectors including manufacturing, IT, construction and healthcare.
TUPE advice and corporate restructuring. Complex discrimination and whistleblowing cases. Springboard injunctions and cases concerning post-termination restrictions and confidential information.
Glenn tries to keep fit by playing squash and five-a-side football. However this is somewhat self-defeated by the inevitable trip afterwards to a pub for a couple of beers! He is a life-long fan of Leeds United, despite living in Sheffield (dangerous!). He lives in Dronfield with his wife Aurora and has a daughter who is now a teacher (a noble profession). He’s mad about music, having a somewhat eclectic taste in music. He likes travelling and has visited many parts of the globe including South Africa, Thailand California, Mexico and Cuba. He is currently taking Spanish lessons and hopes one day to travel in Latin America to see more of Mexico (especially for the fantastic food) and to visit Colombia.
