About Michael

Michael qualified and practiced as a Solicitor in Melbourne, Victoria until he relocated to England in mid-2006 when he joined Lupton Fawcett. Michael is a Partner in the Dispute Resolution Department, specialising in advising clients on contractual and commercial disputes of all types (including sale and supply of goods and services, negligence and misrepresentation), professional negligence, intellectual property-related litigation, defamation, and insolvency-related litigation.

Michael is experienced in quickly understanding the objectives of clients in order to give sound and strategic advice on measures clients can consider adopting before entering into agreements to protect their interests, as well as providing sophisticated advice on the options available to them to pursue or defend claims in circumstances where disputes arise.

Michael’s experience extends to providing advice to individuals as well as local, national and international companies covering a diverse range of industries including finance, motoring, manufacturing, retail, and construction.

When Not at Work

Michael is a keen traveller who spent time after completing his studies backpacking around the world before embarking on his legal career. He still enjoys travelling and also playing most sports (with a particular interest in cricket), music, reading, photography, and spending time with family and friends.
