Lupton Fawcett’s recent golf day raised £3,000 for regional charity Candlelighters, which supports families in Yorkshire who are affected by childhood cancer

12 teams from the local corporate and commercial business community took part on a windy and rainy Tuesday afternoon with three of the teams skippered by Lupton Fawcett partners Giles Clegg, Daniel McCormack and Hugh Thompson.

Winners- Interpath Advisory

Interpath had a great day, winning the LF Golf Day for the second year in a row, we hope they return next year to complete the trilogy. Clearwater also had a successful day, with two team members winning the nearest to the pin competition and the longest drive contest, while the team finished second overall!

Giles Clegg, Lupton Fawcett partner and head of corporate finance, said: “We were delighted to host this fantastic day and to support such a worthwhile charity.

“To able to host such a superb event for so many longstanding contacts, friends and clients of Lupton Fawcett is great and really helps to strengthen our relationships with them in a fun and engaging way.”

Chris Salt, partnerships manager at Candlelighters, said: “We are very grateful to Lupton Fawcett and all those who took part in the golf day for their support and fantastic fundraising. They have raised a superb amount which will make a huge difference to families facing such difficult circumstances.

“It’s thanks to fundraising efforts like these that we’re able to provide emotional, practical, and financial support to families, as well as invest in vital research to improve the lives and outcomes of children and young people with cancer.”
