Lupton Fawcett lawyer Meghan Waldron shortlisted for Legal 500 Northern Powerhouse Award


Meghan Waldron has been shortlisted for a Legal 500 Northern Powerhouse Award for the second year in a row.


The nominees for the Northern Powerhouse Awards are handpicked by Legal 500, the leading legal directory. The awards recognise outstanding lawyers, law firms, and in-house legal departments in the region while also celebrating their achievements over the last 18 months.

Meghan, from the Regulatory & Corporate Defence (RCD) team at Lupton Fawcett, has been shortlisted as a finalist for ‘Rising Star of the Year’ 2024 alongside five other nominees.

Earlier this year she was named as ‘Rising Star’ in the Legal 500 Crime: Yorkshire and Humber for the third time.

The six nominees for this ‘best of the best’ award are chosen from all the ‘Rising Stars’ named within the Legal 500 (Crime) category throughout the North.

Meghan, who is proud to be shortlisted, joined Lupton Fawcett in 2016 bringing with her many years of experience in defending corporate clients and their senior employees facing regulatory and criminal investigations or prosecutions. She consistently secures the very best results for Lupton Fawcett’s clients on complex fraud matters, particularly those cases involving the proceeds of crime. In addition, she has a superb reputation within the legal and regulatory sector for successfully representing her clients at Coroners’ Inquests.
