Lupton Fawcett named Family Business Lawyers of the Year in new awards programme

Family Business Lawyers of the Year at the SME News’ first Family Business Awards.

We’re delighted to have been named as Family Business Lawyers of the Year as part of a new awards programme celebrating family businesses.

SME News is a publication aimed at owners and managers of small and medium-sized UK businesses.

Its newly-launched Family Business Awards programme recognises the contribution of the 5 million-plus family businesses that are the backbone of UK industry and generate almost a third of the UK’s GDP.

Our specialist family business lawyers have a long history of supporting family-managed businesses with clear advice and legal solutions, helping our clients seize opportunities, overcome challenges and prepare for the future.

In fact, over 80 per cent of our business clients were established as family firms.

Our family business team is made up of experts across all our departments who provide a holistic service tailored to clients’ needs.

Led by Amanda Simmonds in our Private Client department and Giles Clegg in our Corporate department, members of the team work together to provide joined-up advice across business, family and personal matters, putting family dynamics right at the centre of the service they provide.

The team is nationally recognised, attracting work from across the UK in areas including succession planning, family business agreements and disputes, employment law, taxation and preparing the business for sale.

The award win comes soon after Lupton Fawcett was shortlisted in three categories of the Yorkshire Legal Awards. Our fingers are crossed for when the award winners are announced on 6th October.

In the meantime, congratulations to our family business team on their well-deserved recognition by the judges of the Family Business Awards.
