Angela has over 20 years of experience in dealing with the full range of contentious and non-contentious employment law issues.

Described as a ‘Key lawyer’ in Legal 500, clients appreciate Angela’s personable, yet commercially minded ‘no nonsense’ approach.  She works closely with senior leaders and HR professionals to ensure HR problems are avoided and/or managed in a calm, efficient and effective manner. Angela advises on complex HR investigations, discrimination unfair and wrongful dismissal and  frequently represents clients in the Employment Tribunal and has particular expertise in advising senior executives in relation to recruitment and termination issues.

Angela acts on behalf of a number of household named clients in the hospitality, housebuilding, logistics, care and scientific industries, ranging from large Plc’s to smaller owner managed businesses, charities and non-for-profit organisations.

Angela is also the deputy registrar for the Leeds Diocese, a member of the Ecclesiastical Law Association and the Ecclesiastical Law Society. Angela supports the Registrar in advising the Bishop of Leeds, Diocesan Board of Finance, various parishes and churches in many aspects of ecclesiastical and employment law. She also advises PCC’s, leaders of church schools and trustees of other religious organisations on various employment and ecclesiastical matters as and when required.
