In addition to advice on “day to day” matters such as disciplinaries and grievances, absenteeism, performance management and settlement agreements he also regularly advises on major strategic projects, (including restructuring of the workforce, collective consultation and changes to terms and conditions), TUPE, trade union recognition and complex discrimination and whistleblowing issues.

Whilst he acts for clients across all sectors he has particular expertise in the Independent School sector. 

Tom is listed by Legal 500 as a “Next Generation Partner”, being a lawyer who is defined as having significant recognition from clients and peers in the market and having a leading role on multiple matters.

Outside of work Tom is a Trustee of Emmaus Hull and East Riding which provides support to formerly homeless people.
