Lupton Fawcett office move benefits charities

Lupton Fawcett LLP has made a sizeable donation of office equipment to a specialist organisation that supports charities across the country.

Earlier this year the Yorkshire firm moved its Leeds-based team to new offices in The Embankment building on Sovereign Street and wanted this process to be as sustainable as possible.

It donated all the office furniture not required at the new location to Over 2 Hills Office Furniture.

The Yorkshire-based charity upcycles office furniture that otherwise would have gone to landfill and offers it to charities to use within their organisations. The British Heart Foundation, Overgate Hospice and Bradford Bulls are just three of the many charities that have benefitted from the scheme.

More than 100 chairs and 150 desks were sent to the charity as well as 480 other items including storage furniture.

Lupton Fawcett has also recently donated approximately £4,000 worth of computer equipment to a local school including PC units, monitors and laptops

Managing partner James Richardson said: “Helping a worthwhile cause while also minimising the impact of our office move on the environment was really important to the whole Lupton Fawcett team.

“We know the equipment we’ve provided will be put to good use by charities supporting a range of communities.”

Lupton Fawcett provides a full range of commercial and personal legal services to clients throughout the UK from its offices in Leeds, Sheffield and York.

It was named as one of The Times Best Law Firms 2022. It is also listed among the Chambers UK 2022 guide to the top-ranked law firms for its work in the corporate, employment, intellectual property and family law sectors.
