Holly has 35 years’ experience, initially specialising in litigation, she has focused on employment disputes and advisory work for the last 15 years. Working closely with an insurance client on compliance issues she became interested in data protection work long before GDPR came into existence. In the run up to GDPR she particularly concentrated on assisting businesses with data protection compliance and on data protection training. Holly focuses on business support; advising clients proactively to manage and mitigate risk and costs. Whilst her role is to seek to avoid disputes, she is an experienced advocate and a robust litigator where the need arises.
Holly also acts for individuals. In recent years she has negotiated some complex exits from local government and industry. She acts for both individuals and employers in disability and sex discrimination claims.
Recent examples of her work include:
Holly loves the countryside and gentle rambles in the Peak District, usually with a good pub at the end. She loves history and travelling around historic towns and cities, whether at home or abroad. She is a keen gardener and usually relaxes by listening to the radio or reading. She collects early editions of various crime writers; but has yet to find a first edition.
